All Elite Wrestling
All Elite Wrestling (AEW) is the newest professional wrestling promotion to hit the scene. The company was officially announced on January 1 st in an episode of the web series Being the Elite, and its first event, Double or Nothing, will take place in Las Vegas on May 25th.
The AEW Roster
AEW’s roster features some of the top wrestlers in the world. From Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega to CM Punk, Eddie Kingston, and Sting, AEW’s talent roster has something for every fan.
The Women’s Division
While AEW has brought in some amazing women’s stars like Saraya and Toni Storm, their women’s division still has a long way to go before it can rival WWE. The women’s division has also been a target of criticism for years, as they have not consistently booked good women’s matches and have not given their stars enough time to develop storylines.
The AEW Payroll
Unlike many other promotions, Cody Rhodes and AEW have made a point to increase their performers’ salaries in order to help them live better lives. They will pay for 100 percent of medical costs and treatments, and Cody promises to improve the quality of life for his wrestlers.
The AEW Labor Relations
During a recent segment on political humorist Jon Oliver’s podcast, Cody spoke about how he and his team are working to make sure that AEW doesn’t fall into the same mistakes that WWE has done with their employees. He promised to raise the salary floor so that wrestlers can afford to get the care they need, and he said he would be willing to support a union for his wrestlers.
